Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about the Done with Diabetes programme? Our FAQ page explains everything you need to know — from how our low-carb, nutrient-rich lifestyle approach works, to whether you need to give up carbs, how much time it takes, and what kind of results you can expect.

DwD isn’t a fad or quick-fix diet. It’s a structured lifestyle and nutrition programme designed especially for women living with or at risk of type-2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, or insulin resistance. You’ll discover how to reduce sugar and ultra-processed foods, balance blood sugar, lose weight naturally, and build healthy habits that last.

Done with Diabetes is a structured lifestyle and nutrition programme designed to help people — especially women living with or at risk of type-2 diabetes — move towards a healthier, sugar-free and ultra-processed-food-free lifestyle. It’s not a quick-fix diet. It’s a clear, step-by-step method for building lasting habits that support blood sugar balance, weight management, and overall wellbeing.

Have type-2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, or insulin resistance.
 *Feel trapped in cycles of dieting, cravings, or food addiction.
 *Want to adopt a real-food, low-carb, sugar-free lifestyle in a supportive and practical way.
 *Are ready to commit to change — not just for a few weeks, but for life.

No. DwD isn’t about extremes or rigid rules. We focus on real, unprocessed food and help you understand how different foods affect your body. Many participants naturally reduce carbs and sugar to a level that supports stable blood sugar and sustained energy — but it’s always personalised.

* It’s not a diet — it’s a complete lifestyle shift.
* We address the mental and emotional side of eating, not just the physical.
* The programme includes tools for identifying risk situations, handling cravings, and building a “new normal” you can actually live with.
* You’re guided step by step, with ongoing support and a clear plan.

Most participants do lose weight (often 5 kg, or more, within the first 12 weeks), but the bigger win is freedom from cravings, more energy, and stable blood sugar. Weight loss becomes a natural side effect of the lifestyle change.
Our focus is on slow and sustainable weight loss for the long term, not starvation diets.

That’s exactly why DwD exists. Many women who join us say this is the first time they’ve felt truly capable of lasting change. The programme doesn’t rely on willpower or restriction — it teaches you how to retrain your habits and mindset so healthy living feels natural, not forced.

No. You’ll learn simple, delicious ways to prepare normal family-friendly meals using real, accessible foods. No expensive products, powders, or complicated recipes are required.

On average, you’ll spend about 1–2 hours a week on learning materials and group support. The food preparation fits easily into daily life once you understand the system.

Every person is different, but typical outcomes include:
*  More stable blood sugar levels.
* Reduced or eliminated cravings for sweets and snacks.
* Sustainable weight loss.
* Better energy, sleep, and mood.
* A stronger sense of confidence and control around food.

Absolutely NOT! DwD is an educational and coaching programme, not a medical service. Many participants do see improvements in their health markers, but you should always consult your GP before making changes to medication or treatment.

The core programme runs for 12 weeks. And you have the option to join our DwD community for ongoing support. Remember, DwD is about building habits for life, not just a short challenge.

* Daily step-by-step lessons.
* Each week builds upon the one before.
* Deep Dives on key areas.  P
* Practical tools (trackers, templates, guides).
* Graham and Zippi’s support throughout the program
* A compassionate environment where you’re never judged — only supported.
